WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Visitors to Skippertips may sign up for our tip-of-the-week through form (upper right side of the home page or drop down box). This form records your name and email address. We will never share this information with third party businesses. These records are kept in a secure database with our broadcast message service, AWeber Communications
Each broadcast message we send you contains an "unsubscribe" link option. You may unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link. This removes you from our broadcast list.
Members pay to join Skippertips through a secure application form. As a paying member, you will create a username and password to access the site. Member records are kept in a secure database. This includes your name, mailing address, billing address, email address, and username. We do not store passwords or credit card numbers on our site.

Skippertips.com does not fall under the purview of the California Consumer Privacy Act. This is because we do not meet any one of the three requirements needed by the Act:
- have an annual gross revenue exceeding $25 million.
- derive 50% or more of your annual revenues from selling consumers' personal information.
- buy, receive, sell, or share the personal information of 50.000 or more California residents, households or devices a year.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
Your information may be used to verify that you are a member or on our mailing list of subscribers, allow access to content on the site such as articles, newsletters, videos, or forums, and to correspond with you if you have an administrative question.
We may use your name and email address to improve the website experience through surveys, or to respond to you if you have a technical support question. We may also use your information to send you promotional information on our membership packages, services, products or special offers.
DO WE USE EXTERNAL (THIRD PARTY) LINKS?
In order to provide visitors and members with greater value, some of our pages may provide links to various third party Web sites. In no case, is member information or 'cookies' provided to the third party sites. However, keep in mind that many sites do attempt to capture visitor information when you browse those sites. Once you leave our site, we are not able to alert you should another site attempt to gather information from your browser.
HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR PAYMENT?
Members complete a subscription form to subscribe to the members area of Skippertips.com. The subscription form requires consent from the Client to provide address and payment information
This data is used to verify the subscription and process the transactions. The data is transmitted over secure channels to the card processing Gateway (Stripe.com).
We never know your full card data - it is encrypted and sent directly to Stripe. The expiry date and last four numbers are stored to allow Clients to check their accounts - as per credit card rules (
Clients can access their records at any time by clicking on the View Account History link, located on the right side of the Member page under the YOUR ACCOUNT tab.
Clients can unsubscribe at any time, using the Change Account Details link under the YOUR ACCOUNT tab on the Member page. Transactional data is retained for accounting and legal requirements.
Members can verify their information at any time using the Change Account Details link under the YOUR ACCOUNT tab on the Member page.
HOW DO WE UPDATE YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT?
You may change your personal data at any time through the secure Change Account Details link, located on the right side of the Member page under the YOUR ACCOUNT tab. Here, you can change your username, password, mailing address, billing address, or your email address.
You can change your credit card number through the Change Account Details link if you are on the recurring monthly billing plan. Your account number will be encrypted as you enter it. Your CVV number (security code) will be encrypted as you enter it.
Your password will be encrypted so that only you have access to any change of password. We will never have access to your password or any changes that you make to your password in the future. If you lose your password, you can create a new password through a secure link (see YOUR PERSONAL PASSWORD section below).
WHAT INFORMATION DO WE HAVE ACCESS TO?
We will never share your personal information with other individuals, websites or businesses. Your personal information includes your full name, mailing address, billing address, email address, and username.
We DO NOT have access to your credit card number, credit card CVV number or the password you use to log on to the site. We also do not have access to any changes that you make to a credit card number, CVV number or to your personal password.
The owner of Skippertips.com may hire administrative assistants. They will never have access to your password or credit card number. They will have access to your name, username, email and mailing address, billing address, date you joined, transactions, the number of days logged on to the site, and how long you have been a member.
If your credit card expires or a transaction fails, we receive notification. This usually tells us what part of the billing process failed. We can then pass this along to you to help you fix the problem faster.
YOUR PERSONAL PASSWORD
When you apply for membership, you create a new password. It must contain at least eight characters, lower and upper case letters and at least one number. We DO NOT have access to this password. If you forget or lose your password, you can request a new password link at any time. We will send an email to your inbox with a secure link in that message.

OPTIONS TO JOIN SKIPPERTIPS.COM
You join Skippertips.com through a secure application form, filled out online. You may choose from a monthly recurring membership, which means that your credit card will be charged each month at the current monthly membership rate.
You may choose the annual option, which means that your credit card will be charged one time. At the end of an annual membership, you will need to use the credit card or another updated credit card.
The alternative option for annual membership will be through Pay Pal. You may use a credit card or your Pay Pal account to pay for an annual membership through Pay Pal.
